Walter Staveloz

Walter has thirty years of experience in science communication and management of science communication programs. He was one of the Founders of "Focus Research" in Belgium, an organization that promoted fundamental research and created innovative links between researchers and the public. A former Executive Director of ECSITE, the European association of science centers and science museums, since 2006 and his move to the USA, he has been the Director of International Relations at the Association of Science -Technology Centers (ASTC) in Washington DC focusing on climate change, sustainable development and the International Science Center and Science Museum day in partnership with UNESCO. He is an advisor about public engagement with science to major science center summits and governments (Sri Lank, Kuwait, South Africa).
